Show Fort Duchesne Lorena Iorg The Fort Duchesne Women's Club was entertained at the home of Mrs. Doris Faulkner on Tuesday Tues-day After the regular business meeting, a delicious lunch was served , by the hostesses, Mrs Faulkner, Mrs. Baumgarncr and Mrs. Chivers. We are happy to report that Miss Clara Hoffman, field nurse, is recovering from her operation at the L.D.S; hospital in Salt Lake City. Miss Francis Cuch is improved from her recent illness. Mr. and Mrs. Bishop Arrochis are the parents of a baby boy. Mother and baby are fine. Father is passing out cigars. Mrs. Dora Griffen, of White-rocks, White-rocks, has been helping in the Fort Duchesne store for the past week. A farewell party was held in the school house last Friday for Mr. and Mrs. Kronquist, who are leaving soon for New Mexico. The community will miss them very much. Miss Emma. Lou Conway and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Harris were in Salt Lake on business last weekend. The following men have been successful in getting their geese the past week: Norman Holmes, Ruben Sixkiller, Bill Sutteer, Herman Crumbo and Lester Connor. Con-nor. Mr. and Mrs. William Hancock enjoyed a few days in Salt Lake 1 shopping. Mrs. Mary Denver had the misfortune mis-fortune to have her head hurt last Thursday, but is now improved. im-proved. Mrs. Mary Harris is ill at this writing. We wish her a speedy recovery. Ross Iorg, Jr. was pleasantly surprised last Monday when a group of his friends gave him a birthday party. A lovely birthday, birth-day, cake was enjoyed, after which games were played. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Allred, of Roosevelt, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Curry. Rex and Lee enjoyed a goose hunt on the Greenriver over the weekend. week-end. I Word has been received from the "Old Timer" who is living in Colorado at the present time. He and Mrs. Nevins and two boys are fine and wish to be remembered re-membered to all their friends. |
