Baumgacrtel, 5 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. John 2 Baumgacrtel of Roosevelt has completed basic pilot training in J the Army Air Corps at Chico, r Calif., Army Air Field. Cadet Baumgaertcl has been ' transferred to Ft. Sumner, New Mexico, for advanced pilot training. train-ing. Upon completion of advanced ad-vanced training he will receive m his wings. Cadet Baumgaertel is a grad- ' uate of the Roosevelt High 6 ichool and took 2 years at Car-1 Car-1 bon Junior college. 'I IPs pa. CPL. NELSON VISITS HOME IV Cpl. Oscar N. Nelson, son of Ur. and Mrs. Oscar Nelson of Upalco, entered the armed forces for-ces February 11, 1942. He re- ceived his basic training at i Camp Robertson, Arkansas and for the last eighteen i months has been connected with i the Military police detachment g at Pine Bluff arsenal, Arkansas. - CpL Nelson recently spent a $ ten day furlough with home folks and at Tremonton, Utah p where his wife lives. Bolion i HERE ON FURLOUGH Lynn Gardner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gardner of Neola, "j who is in the U S Navy, spent I the past week at home visiting his parents and friends. He left Monday to report back to Far-i Far-i fagut, Idaho where he received tis "boot" training. OH THE EASTERN COAST Gerald M. Bolton, son of Mr. nd Mrs. Mervin C. Bolton of -Bennett, was inducted into the service November 23, 1942, and deceived his basic training at Oklahoma. He was then sent to Louisiana for maneuvers and uring the latter part of Septem-fcer Septem-fcer was sent to Fort Sam, Hous-i Hous-i wn, Texas, where he remained . ! "ntU December. 31, 1943. Papa ' J0INS AIR CORPS Miss Lois Wilson, daughter of James and Vera Wilson of My-ton My-ton has joined the Women's Amy Air Corp. Frank Uresk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Uresk of Myton, arrived home on furlough recently. re-cently. He entered the Army air forces October 20 1942, and was sent to St. Petersburg, Florida. Pvt Uresk was then transferred To Kearns, Utah after which he spent nine months in the Aleutian Aleu-tian Islands. He is now stationed at Fresno, California. fa Pa.
