James Dalgleish, Department vice commander of the American Legion left Friday to attend service ser-vice officers school, and will also attend a meeting of District 1 at Brigham City and District 4 at American Fork. Pvt. Milton Lott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Lott, came home on a Furlough Friday. Mrs. A, E. Edwards and sister, Mrs. Orsen Niclson went to Las Vegas to visit Mrs. Edwards' daughter, Etta and then on to California to visit Milton Nielson and Edsel Murphy who is in the armed forces. Mrs. Homer Robison took Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Todd to Salt Lake City Friday. Mrs. Davis went to receive medical aid. Mrs. Ray Gill and son, Cyle were visiting in Myton Thursday. Arthur Larsen moved into the home of Charles Meranda Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Murphy of Roosevelt, MIA Stake officers, attended the ward MIA conference confer-ence Sunday, giving interesting talks. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lincke. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Talboe and Mrs. Eliza ' Mickelson of Grass Valley, California were visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew j Talboe Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew An-drew Talboe accompanied them to Provo to visit Mr. Talboe's brother who Is very 111. Richard Broome of Roosevelt spent the week end here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Broome. Mrs. S. A. Wells of Vernal spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs. Gladys Harris. A welcome home party was given giv-en Friday evening in honor of William Hammerschmidt of Ced-arview Ced-arview who is home on a short furlough. Those attending from here were Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Bab-cock, Bab-cock, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd. Howard Funk entertained a-bout a-bout twenty of his friends at a party Thursday, honoring his 9th birthday. |
