Show Altonah Mrs. Ethel Beebe Mr. and Mrs. John Clark and family, of Bonanza, spent the weekend with Mr. Clark's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark. Mrs. Fern Miller spent a few days in the Roosevelt hospital last week. Those from Altonah attending the Boy Scout meeting in Roosevelt, Roose-velt, Saturday, Feb. 8, were Mr. and Mrs. Linford Maxficld, son, Delar and daughter, Nada; Claud Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred and sons, Udell and Rex, Bishop and Mrs. Lester Maxfield and sons, Perry, Larry and Trent; George Berrett and son, Robert; Albert Clark and son, Ned; Billy Ralphs, Duane Young and Kay Timothy. Dclar Maxfield had the honor to receive his Scout Star badge from Scoutcr President George Albert Smith. Mrs. Hans Jacobson and Mrs. Jcrald Jacobson spent a week in Salt Lake City. Ward Youth Leadership meeting meet-ing was held in the ward hall Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Von Timothy and sons, and Mrs. Velma Ralphs and son, of Bonanza, spent the weekend with home folks. 'Sunday School and Sacrament meeting speakers, Sunday were, Mrs. Fern Powell, Evan Benion, Volney Boswell, of Mt. Emmons, and Ray Oman, of Boncta. Mrs. Clarence Jones received medical . care in the Roosevelt hospital several days last week. She was able to return home, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jessen announce an-nounce the arrival of a baby girl, born Feb. 11th in Salt Lake City. Sheriff Arzy Mitchell, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, was an Altonah business visitor, Tuesday. Linford Maxfield attended a Boy Scout meeting in Vernal, Saturday night. Ed Davis returned home during dur-ing the week, after spending the winter in California. Harold Fowler took his wife to Salt Lake City last week, where she was hospitalized for treatment for a leg infection. John P. Madsen, of Duchesne, was an Altonah visitor, Tuesday. The Beehive girls and their teacher, Miss Nada Maxfield, had a party in the ward hall, Wednesday Wed-nesday night. The evening was spent in roller skating. A pot luck lunch was served to Nada Maxfield, Barbara Beebe, Anna Fae Ames, Minnie Lou Jessen, Donna Maxfield, Eldora Clark, Gcorgetta Clark and Phyllis Miller. Edgar Holder, of Mt. Emmons,; was in town on business, Thursday.: Thurs-day.: I James Leonakis has puchased a new 1947 International Hi ton truck. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Potts, of, Upalco, visited at the home of Mrs. Potts' parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Snyder, on Thursday. Thurs-day. Bovie Mecham, of Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, was an Altonah visitor Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Delbcrt Shiner accompanied their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fowler, to Salt Lake City, Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Wayne Powell and daughters, daugh-ters, of Vernal, are visiting Mrs. Powell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ralphs. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allred and daughter, Phyllis, Mrs. Tuff Reay and Lee Jessen were Roosevelt Roos-evelt visitors, Wednesday. Wm. Anderson received word last week of the death of his sister, sis-ter, Mrsv Annie Nelms, of Price. Mrs. Dora Bird attended the funeral, fun-eral, returning home Tuesday. |
