Show Ballard Ellen Bracken A successful Valentine and basket dance was held Feb. 14. Over $100 was netted, with Di-anne Di-anne Hullingcr's basket bringing the highest bid. The program was presented by the Roosevelt high school chorus, directed by Mrs. Richard Lowe; Arva.rd Rigby and Wallace Johnson, of Vernal. Mrs. Tom Shislc.r has been quite ill, and was in the hospital for better than a week. Laraine Hulling'er has been assisting in the home. Carolyn Ross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tex Ross.-has been under the care of a Salt Lake specialist. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Woodward, Wood-ward, of Ogden. visited Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle. Word has been received that Eric Slolla was delayed in Massachusetts Mas-sachusetts because of dense fog, and was forced to lay over in Newfoundland for a week while-repairs while-repairs were made to the plane's motor. ' Russei Todd left for San Francisco Fran-cisco Wednesday with member? of the school board to attend a N.E.A. convention. Mrs. Todd fell Thursday, injuring her side, and has been confined at home since that time. An interesting fireside was held at the Wendol Johnson residence, resi-dence, Feb. 13 Ollie Ttasmussn led the group discussion. Games were led by Dorothy Kettle and Norma Johnson. Refreshments were served to 14 guests. Jerry Stinnett and Marie El-dredgc El-dredgc gave their seminary talks in Sacrament meeting Sunday. Sun-day. Mrs. Evelyn Brighton was also a speaker. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Coslon have received word of a son born to Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Coston. of Los Angeles. |
