Lawrence Caldwell visited in Salt Lake City during the week with his mother, Mrs. Emery Caldwell of Portland, Oregon, who was also there on a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Taylor, Jr., of Deep Creek purchased the Belle Labrum home in town and moved there last week. H. Grant Vest and Kermit Young of Vernal were visitors in Lapoint on Wednesday. Mrs. Laura Bywaters of Myton My-ton and Beth Nyberg left during the week for Ogden where they have employment. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huber received re-ceived a letter from their son, Darrell who is in the army, that jhe was now stationed at Camp Roberts, California. I Twila Bigelow and Velena Reynolds entertained the 8th ' grade girls at a slumber party at the Raymond Bigelow home on Wednesday night. Games were played and a delicious supper and breakfast served by the girls. Mrs. Martin Taylor of Kansas is visiting his mother, Mrs. Roxa Taylor and other relatives here. She has been with her husband while he has been training. Mrs. Flora Reigan and small son of Vernal visited her mother, Mrs. Annie Morcos the past week. Art Pcterman was in Salt Lake City the past week receiving receiv-ing medical attention. Elmo Hardy and family of Vernal were callers in Lapoint Thursday.
