Show Randlett Nanna Jarman The regular meeting of the Avalon school P.T.A. was held Thursday night. After a short program, regular business matters mat-ters were taken up. The rest of the evening was turned over to guest speakers Russell Todd, a board member, and Wendell Johnson, Seminary teacher from Alterra, after which refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Naylor, of Clearfield, were weekend visi-1 tors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I Ralph Taylor. Mr. Naylor returned re-turned to Clearfield, Sundav evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Naylor will visit a week before returning. Primary conference was held in Sacrament meeting, Sunday afternoon. A program on Utah pioneers was cleverly presented by the children, after which the stake visitors from Roosevelt spoke. William and Elbert Chandler returned Wednesday night from California, where they have been .visiting their mother and other members of the family. Friday night a group from here attended the Elder's party ( at the Stake House in Roosevelt. Thursday, a few parents took a group of school children to Ft. 1 Duchesne to the clinic being held there for arditory defects. These clinics are being held throughout through-out the county to help correct defective speech, hearing and sight in school children. Bishop C. F. Wahlquist and son, Fred, made a trip to Salt Lake, Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday night, some of the M.I. A. officers look a group of young people to Roosevelt to participate in the slake dance festival. |
