Show Primaries Hold Spotlight In LDS Activities Annual Primary conferences continue to hold the spotlight in church activities throughout the Roosevelt stake . The Randlett ward conference was held Sunday, April 20, under un-der the direction of President Esther Wilson. Following a centennial cen-tennial theme "Early .Mormon Pioneers," the conference dramatized dram-atized the settlement of Randlett Rand-lett and other communities in I Utah. Stake Board members in attendance were Kate Peterson, Amanda Henrie and Carrie Wills. The Montwell conference on April 20 depicted the early history his-tory of Montwel, Monarch and Cedarview. Special honor was paid to Mr. and Mrs. Morris Woodward, the first family to settle in the Monarch area. Both Mr. and Mrs. Woodward were present at the conference. The program was under the direction of President Reita Hamblin with 45 Primary children chil-dren participating. Stake Board members present included Lela Labrum, Myrtle Labrum and Verda Campbell. The settling of Moffat (now Gusher) was the theme chosen for the Moffat ward conference, held April 13. 23 children portrayed por-trayed its history with song and dramatization. President Robina Ferguson was in charge. Lela Labrum and Alta Phillips represented rep-resented the Roosevelt Stake Board. Dramatizing the settling of the community, the Ballard ward conference, under the direction of Mrs. Stolla, paid special tribute tri-bute to James Angus, Vida Collins Col-lins Belts, Theo Phillips and others of the early pioneers. Held April 20, 57 childen participated par-ticipated in the dramatization. Board members present were Bertha Angus and Alta Phillips. |
