Show Manslaughter Charges Filed figamst fon Man A charge of involuntary manslaughter man-slaughter has been filed against Don Giles, My ton, as a result of a motor vehicle accident July 9, which claimed the life of Joseph Bywatcr, 80, also of Myton, who was Giles' passenger. A preliminary hearing will be held in the near future before be-fore Judge John Baumgaertcl. Conviction of the charge means a maximum imprisonment of one year in the county jail. Bywater died July 15 from injuries received when the pickup pick-up truck driven by Giles went ( out of control and overturned 8 ( miles west of Myton on highway 40. Both men suffered shock and lacerations of the face and neck. Bywater also suffered other injuries in-juries which caused him to be hospitalized in Salt Lake. City. Giles was given a citation for driving under the influence of alcohol. Pleading guilty, he appeared ap-peared before Judge Baumgaev-tel Baumgaev-tel Monday, July 11, and was fined $100. |
