Mrs. Louie Brough and Mrs. Eugenia Pickup and two children chil-dren visited at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Nebeker during the week. i A shower and wedding dance was given in the Lapoint chapel, Wcdnepday afternoon and night in honor of Mr, and Mrs. Loris Wooley. A large crowd was in attendance. The new bride was the former June Huber. Mr. and Mrs. Delos Scarle visited in Salt Lake City during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Filligim announce an-nounce the arrival of a 6 Vi lb. baby girl, born September 26 at the Valley hospital in Vernal. Art Peterman and his mother have bought a home in Gusher. They moved there last week. Mrs. era Huber and daughter, daugh-ter, Rhea also Mrs. Ardith Huber and daughter, Kathcrine visited in Provo during the week. The two girls will attend the B Y U this winter. Principal Geo. R. Hacking and wife, Georgia Thompson, Cynthia Cynth-ia Taylor, Irva Huber, Thelma Lee, Mrs. Minnie Reynolds.'Deon Mcrkley and .Gladys Wardle attended at-tended the Teachers institute and barbeque held at Merkley's pat-ture pat-ture in Vernal on Wednesday. The following people attended the funeral of Archie Jenkins held Friday at 2 o'clock in the Maesar chapel, his brother, Frank Jenkins and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Preece and Mrs. Merle Horrocks. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alexander Alexand-er of Roosevelt visited their daughter, Mrs. Jerry Rick and family during the week. Mrs. Alexander's brother, Milton Alexander Al-exander his wife and children of Shelton, Washington were also visitors. Beth Nyberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McCoy Nyberg is visiting visit-ing in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Arcade Pierce and daughter of Salt Lake City have bought a house at Deep Creek they will live at the Jacob Rasmussen home here in Lapoint for the winter. Dave Burgess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Burgess returned home during the week for a 30-day 30-day furlough. Dave has been in Germany and France. Mrs. Lovicia Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Swain and daughter, daugh-ter, Cleone left Sunday for Salt Lake City. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Swain will remain for a while. Mrs. L. H. Woodward and Mrs. Campbell of Vernal, Mrs. Syble Collyer of Santa Monica, California Cali-fornia and daughter, Dorothy Collyer Dialogue and small son of Venice, California spent Thursday in Lapoint visiting i Mrs. Orloa Reynolds Woodward and Mrs. Minnie Reynolds. Mrs. Kenneth Hartle entertained enter-tained at her home Sunday afternoon after-noon in honor of her son, Keiths 7th birthday anniversary. Games were played and lunch served. A Peanut hunt was also enjoyed. |
