Show &SXS5SS5S5X2s LAPOINT (5X2XSXSXSXSXSXSX5X5X5XSSX Mrs. Charles Taylor, Sr., and Mrs. Eva Huber and daughter, Shirley made a trip to the Hot Springs, Colorado to get Elmer El-mer Huber who has been taking treatments the past month. Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Bur-son. Bur-son. Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Char-les F. Burson, Jr., and baby returned re-turned to Ogden after visiting their daughter and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee during the week. Charles F. Jr., is home on a furlough after being stationed in California. He is a Lieutenant in the Air corp. His baby was born one hour after he left for his first training. Sharon Hackford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Hackford of Baldwin Bal-dwin Park, California,, is visiting visit-ing friends here. The Hackfords were former residents of La-point. La-point. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stewart Ste-wart of Salt Lake City were visiting her father, Eli Smith and sister, Mrs. Wilma Angus and family Decoration Day. Nilah and Dale Perry, children of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Perry visited the past week at the home of Thurmer Rasmussen. Deloras Gadd returned to her home at Pop's Place, Colorado, Tuesday after visiting the past week with her sisters, Mrs. June Lee and Eva Christer and families. fami-lies. Acel Caldwell of Salt Lake City was a visitor here on Decoration Dec-oration Day. He was a former resident of Lapoint. Mrs. Elmo Lee and children of Vernal were visiting his moth er, Mrs. Rhoada Lee Monday. Mrs. Herb Young and children of Provo visited her father, Jesse Jes-se Labrum and family at Deep Creek last week. Mr. and Mrs. George Justice and children and Mrs. Mary Hansen Han-sen and family of Huntington, also Elba Justice and family and Mrs. Rebecca Justice of Myton were in Lapoint for Decoration Day. Mrs. Norma Green and children chil-dren of Park City visited her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Ben Cook at Deep Creek, also her sister, Mrs. Frank Lee and family during dur-ing the week. Lola Belle Lee accompanied ac-companied her home for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Nebeker and children and Mrs. Elizabeth Nebeker and grand daughter, Joan were in Lapoint Monday. Mrs. Nebeker has been staying with her daughter, Mrs. Louie Brough at Randlett the past month. Sadie Bywaters and daughter of Myton were visiting her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Zack Kump and sister, Mrs. Mae Warburton the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Caldwell Cald-well received word from their son, Blaine who has landed in the Hawaiin Islands, that he was in the hospital there with a bad leg. Blaine is in the Navy. Mrs. Walter Wooley and Belle Angus of Vernal were visitors in Lapoint Friday. Mrs. Beth Perry received a letter from her husband, Lyle Perry that he was stationed at the Marine Base in San Diego, California. He was just recently inducted in the army and has spent the past 3 years in the consolidated con-solidated air craft factory at San Diego. L. J. Walker left Monday for Murray to visit his mother who has been ill. He returned Friday. Lynn and Dean Huber, Roy Foster, Ralph Johnson, Eugene Nyberg and Lyle Taylor, left Saturday to take their 4-H club stock to the Stock show in Salt Lake City. They accompanied their leader, Jess Hullinger of Al terra, , Charles Taylor, Sr., left Friday Fri-day for Ogden to attend the funeral fun-eral of his brother, Jim Taylor, 79, who passed away Thursday. Jessie Neumeyer also attended the services. Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Van of Ogden visited her grandmother, Mrs. George Graham and other relatives here over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee of Whiterocks moved to the Raymond Ray-mond home south west of town Thursday. Orvel Hullinger and family of Ogden are spending their "vacation "vaca-tion visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bigelow and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hullinger at Vernal. Orvel Or-vel teaches at the Industrial school. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowden of Roosevelt visited their daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Morgan Harxison and family Sunday. |
