Show IOKA (Mrs, Bertha Angus) Sxsxex3sx-c Bishop John E. Webb took Reed Lemon to the Roosevelt hospital Friday where he is being treated for blood poisoning in his knee. Lucile Pcrcival who has been employed at the AAA office in Roosevelt for the past 5 years, moved home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Percival, Tuesday. Hal Johnson and Evan Percival went to Salt Lake City Sunday. Dee Drollinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen E. Drollinger, enlisted ,n the Navy Dec. 23 and is now stationed in California. Mr. and Mrs. John E. Webb received re-ceived a telegram from their son, Ben, who has been serving in Germany. Ben was then in New York and is expected home soon. Junior Faucett has received his call to take his physical examination examina-tion for entry into the Army. Visiting at the home of Mrs. Eva Percival Monday were Mrs. Edith Gentry, Miss Elizabeth Gentry, Mrs. Celia Jones, Mrs. P. C. Johnson, and Marie Benson. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Benson and children returned to their home in Los Angeles, California on Friday after spending the holidays hol-idays with Mr. Benson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie P. Benson. Loren Benson accompanied them He expects to find employment there. Jolcne Robison celebrated her birthday with a party Wednesday. Wednes-day. Willis Lowry went to . Salt Lake City Friday to meet his brother, Edwin L. Lowry, who has just been discharged from the Army. They will go direct to Morrell, Nebraska to visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lowry.. Mr. and Mrs. John E. Webb announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Genevieve, to Loran Ca.rruth, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Carruth of Vernal. The wedding took place Jan. 5 at 3 p. m. at the home of the bride's parents, in the. presence of mem-I mem-I bers of the immediate families. The brides father, Bishop John E. Webb performed the ceremony. After the ceremony the wedding party enjoyed a delicious Turkey dinner in Vernal. The young couple will make their home at Bonanza, Utah. Loren Benson and Kenneth Benson were Salt Lake visitors Wednesday and Thursday. Mrs. Thomas Gentry and Elizabeth Eliza-beth Gentry visited Mrs. Marie Benson Wednesday afternoon. , Jessie Benson and Miss Stella Dansey visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Benson. The play "Dumb Doliver" presented pre-sented by the MIA Friday night was enjoyed greatly by a large audience. ' ' : Tithing settlement for the year was held Friday and Saturday in the Ward hall.
