Show LAPOINT (Mrs. George Bigelow) exsx-sy fsxss- I Ncldon Reynolds and Bud Harrison Har-rison were visitors in Salt Lake City during the week. Blaine Caldwell telephoned his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Caldwell, from San Francisco on Tuesday. He had just arrived from Guam with a load of troops. His ship was leaving for the Islands Is-lands to return with more troops. Lamont Nielson, son of Mrs. Eliza Nielson arrived home on Saturday from the Philippine Islands. He received his discharge dis-charge Friday at Ft. Douglas. He has been in the service for over two years. His wife met him at Salt Lake City. A party was held in the La-point La-point Chapel Tuesday night honoring hon-oring all the boys who were home on leave or had been discharged dis-charged from the armed services A lovely program was presented after which dancing was enjoyed. Mrs. Edna Broadhead and children of Heber visited her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hor-rocks, Hor-rocks, and other relatives here during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Bird of Salt Lake City visited Mrs. Bird's brother, Arthur Powell, and family fam-ily during the week. It was necessary to take Mrs. Georgia Thompson, one of our Lapoint school teachers, to a hospital hos-pital in Salt Lake City on Friday for treatment. Se had been in the Valley Hospital at Vernal for 10 days. Her husband, Sike Thompson Thomp-son and her mother, Mrs. Lovicia Smith, accompanied her to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Walker were visitors in Salt Lake City over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Alexander of Mont Well visited Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich and family during dur-ing the week. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Labrum spent the week end in Provo visiting Mr. Labrum's mother, Mrs. Belle Labrum, and his sister Flora. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Wilkins and children of Roosevelt spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Bigelow. Mrs. Beth Perry returned home with them for a visit. |
