Show Arcadia Mrs. Marion S. Shields A large group of people from Arcadia attended the wedding dance at Altonah Friday evening honoring Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mecham and Mr. and Mrs. Don Mecham. The Hartle family, of Salt Lake City, have purchased the ranch known as the Verholt place and will make their home here. Pvt. Grant Horrocks returned to his base after a furlough spent with his father, Frank Horrocks. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Ross entertained en-tertained the following guests at dinner, Thursday evening. Mar. 6th: Frank and Von Horrocks, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Horrocks, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gilbert, and guest of honor, Pvt. Grant Horrocks. Marvin G. Shields made a business bus-iness trip to Ilcber, Thursday. Gam Gilbert spent a couple of days last week at Logan, where he attended an extension school. Commissioner L. J. Gilbert returned, re-turned, Friday, after a week's stay in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Norman La brum and daughter, Susanne, left Salt Lake City, Wednesday morning by plane to join her husband at San Francisco, Calif,, where they will make their home. Marvin G. and Wanless Shields attended a Cattle Association meeting at Reese " Clayburn's Wednesday evening. Mrs. Charlie Bird and daughter, daugh-ter, Lurrine, have returned home from the Roosevelt hospital. T. R. Cope, who is employed at the Wilson hotel at Salt Lake City, spent Sunday with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. LeNar Richens. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mecham, of Mt. Home, were Sunday dinner din-ner guests at the home of Mrs. Mecham's parents, Bishop and Mrs. Marion Ross. The following attended Leadership Lead-ership meeting Sunday afternoon' after-noon' at Duchesne: Bishop Marion Mar-ion Ross, Hale Holgate, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Vernal J. Nielsen, Vera Larsen and Charlie Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross and family were dinner guests, Sunday Sun-day at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ross, at Myton.
