Miss Lois Betts of Salt Lake City spent Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts of Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Daniels and son, Merton who have been making their home at Oram, Utah have returned to Roosevelt. Roose-velt. Miss Reva Merkley formerly of Lapoint, now employed in Salt Lake City, spent last week end visiting home folks and friends fri-ends here. Miss Helen Walton, who is employed in Salt Lake City spent Christmas with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Walton Wal-ton in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Rudy of Salt Lake City spent the Christmas Christ-mas holidays with Mr. Rudy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Zar Rudy. They returned home Sunday.. Miss Joyce Call and Miss Bertha Ber-tha Anderton of Salt Lake City were home during the Christmas holidays visiting. They returned to their work Sunday. Miss Ruth Jorgensen visited here with her mother, Mrs. Annie An-nie Jorgensen during the holidays. holi-days. She returned Sunday to Provo where she is teaching school. Miss Rouvoe Collins of Salt Lake City spent the Christmas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Collins. She returned re-turned to Salt Lake Sunday. Mrs. Sadie Scholes of Salt Lake City spent Christmas in Roosevelt at the home of her son, Richard Scholes. She returned re-turned to her home Tuesday morning. Miss Jeanne Crumbo who has been working in Salt Lake City, is spending the Christmas holidays holi-days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Crumbo of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bonza of Salt Lake City spent the Christmas Christ-mas holidays visiting Mrs. Bon-za's Bon-za's sister, Mrs. Pearl Moysh and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Per-ry Dean. They returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Olsen and daughter, Rosanne spent the week end visiting at the home of Mrs. Annie Jorgensen and with relatives in Neola. They returned return-ed to their home in Park City Sunday. Miss Faye Roller, who is employed em-ployed in Denver, Colorado, spent the holidays visiting in Roosevelt. Miss Louise Bellon accompanied her back to Denver Den-ver Sunday to spend a week visiting. Miss Florence Lambert, who is employed in Salt Lake was home to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lambert and brother. Ray of Altonah. She returned to Salt Lake Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Perk Stewart of Jenson spent Christmas with Mrs. Stewart's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alf Morrill. Mr. Morrill has been in Washington the past six months and came home to spend the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Reynolds Reyn-olds and daughter of Salt Lake City spent the holidays with Mr. Reynolds' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Reynolds. They returned home Sunday. Sylvan Reynolds is also home for the holidays. He has been attending the B Y U at Provo. Misses Barbara Taylor and Nedra Todd spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor Tay-lor and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Todd. They returned back to i Salt Lake City Monday whcie they have employment. ' 1 Mrs. Troy Clark, the former Miss Maurine Timothy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Timothy spent Saturday and Sunday visiting friends and relatives here. Her husband is with the U S Army Air Corp stationed somewhere in England. Maurine is employed in Salt Lake City. VISITS HERE A-S LaVere Labrum surprised his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Labrum by arriving home on the 5 o'clock bus Christmas day for a few hours visit. LaVere is in the Army Air Corp and is taking tak-ing cadet training at Cedar City, Utah. He was accompanied to Roosevelt by Miss Miriam Long and they returned to Cedar City late the same night. Dinnner Guests Christmas Day A delicious Christmas dinner was served by Mrs. Reva Owen at her home Saturday when the following were seated at one long table: Mrs. Julia Owen, Mrs. Dorothy Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Max Owen and family of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Kil- lian and family, Mrs. Daisy Kil- lian, Mrs. Lola Richens, Lynn Johnstun and son, Karl and a soldier friend of his by the name of Griffin from Kearns and the hostess, Mrs. Owen. Christmas Eve Dinner Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Ruppel entertained at a family dinner Christmas eve when the following follow-ing were seated at one long table tab-le which was centered with Christmas decorations: Mrs. James H. Wallis, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. B. Wallis and daughters, daugh-ters, Gloria and Caroline and sons, Jack and Budge of Vernal, Mrs. Marva Corbridge and son, Quinn, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Ruppel and sons, John and Richard. Rich-ard. Biricher-Gill Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Birtcher announce the marriage of their daughter, Ulah to Cyle Gill, son ' of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gill of Arcadia. Ar-cadia. The ceremony took place at Vernal Thursday, December 23rd with Mr. and Mrs. Birtcher and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gill as witnesses. The young couple were both students of the Roosevelt Roose-velt High school and are making mak-ing their home in Arcadia at the I present time. t Dinner Guests Mrs. Leslie Ashton, Mr. and Mrs. Rae Ashton of Vernal and Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Ashton were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett Sunday. Sun-day. Mrs. Leslie Ashton remain-! remain-! ed in Roosevelt to visit at the home of her son, C. L. and Mr. and Mrs. Rae Ashton returned to Vernal Sunday. Mrs. Leslie Ashton returned ttf Vernal Tuesday. Tues-day. Friends Entertained Mrs. Theo Dora McGill entertained enter-tained a few, of her friends at the home of her parenst, Mr. and Mrs. George Pulos Monday. A social evening spent, refreshments refresh-ments served to Mary Dillman, Donna Benson, Virginia Hancock, Han-cock, Loya Benson and the hostess, host-ess, Theo Dora McGill. Entertains Friends Mrs. R. T. Bonhin entertained the following ladies at her home last Thursday afternoon: Mrs Daisy Killian, Mrs. James H. Wallis, Mrs. Olga Weaver, Mrs. Mary Collins, Mrs. A. C.
