Preston has been in the armed forces of our country over ov-er 1 year. Mrs. Margaret Harrison who was visiting in Vernal was called cal-led to the bed side of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Delbert Horrocks who has peunomia, on Monday. Mrs. Pearl Preece is teaching school in her place the past week. Mr. and Mrs, Lorraine Palmer and small baby are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Abner Swain the past week. Mr. Palmer will return to duty in the armed forces but she will remain here for the rest of the winter. Charley Bigelow made a trip to Provo Wednesday to get his daughter, Lorna, June Huber and Barbara Rasmussen to be home for the Christmas holidays. The girls are attending the B Y U at Provo and will go back January 4th. Will Sprouse of Bingham spent the Christmas holidays with his daughter, Thelma Winn and family returning Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burton of Rock Springs, Wyoming came to Vernal on Thursday to get their son, Troy who is attending High school there and were calling call-ing on friends in Lapoint Friday. The Primary officers entertained enter-tained all the Primary children at a children's dance in the Lapoint La-point chapel Tuesday afternoon. A sack of Popcorn and peanuts were given to each child. J. F. Pillsbury. Civil Engineer of Salt Lake City spent the Christmas holidays here with his wife and children. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Burton of Grey Stone, Colorado and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Caldwell of Park City spent the Christmas holidays with Travis Nelson and family. Mrs. Nelda Christenson and Miss Ivy Johnson of Ogden spent the Christmas holidays with their parents, Mr, and Mrs. Quince Johnson of Deep Creek. Both girls have employment in a defense plant there. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Dudley of Ogden visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neumyer during the holidays. Mr.and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks of Salt Lake City spent the Christmas holidays with their children here in Lapoint. Waldo and Eldon Lamoreaux, former residents of Lapoint but now living in Provo were calling call-ing on friends in Lapoint Sunday.
