Show Utah Dairy Tour Planned For Local Milk Producers A SECOND tour of Duchesne county dairymen to other dairy centers of Utah was announced Tuesday by County Agent Louis Jensen, who set September 4, 5 and 6 as the dates when the trip will be made. : The success of a similar inspection, in-spection, conducted a year ago, has brought repeated requests from local dairymen to arrange for a trip this year, Mr. Jensen advised. The forthcoming tour will include in-clude Utah county, a section bypassed by-passed by the Duchesne county dairymen last season. From Utah i county, where the dairy herd of the Brigham Young university universi-ty will be inspected on September Septem-ber 4, the group will travel to the fair grounds at Salt Lake to give dairy week the "once over." I Plans are to drive to Logan the first night, where the major features of the tour will be held. MR. Jensen has arranged with the Utah State Agricultural college col-lege to accomodate the party at the college dormitory on the campus, from which point dairy ' farms in Cache county will be visited. ' The entire clay of September 5will be devoted to dairy plants in Cache county, and to the inspection in-spection of the USAC herd, credited cred-ited with being one of the finest ' in the West. The group will depart de-part from Logan early the morning morn-ing of September 6, on the return re-turn trip, with stops scheduled at dairies in Morgan, Summit and Wasatch counties. Travel will be by bus, Mr. Jensen staled, with the fare being be-ing one cent a mile, and interested interest-ed persons are asked to register at the county agent's office in k the Municipal building at Roose-, Roose-, velt as early as possible. "Last year's tour did a lot for the dairymen of Duchesne county," coun-ty," commented Mr. Jensen, "and this year we expect it to do as much. Primarily we will be concerned with visiting good dairy herds, with a view to purchasing pur-chasing stock, but we are also Interested in visiting dairy plants find pastures in some of the major ma-jor dairy sections of the state, to see what improved methods we might follow."
