Show Mrs. Esther Odekirk) Leonard - Smith, traveling auditor from Billings, Montana, is here on official business. He is accompanied by his wife. Supt. and Mrs. Forrest Stone, accompanied by Mrs. A. S. F. Greene and Mrs. Eva Haas, were Salt Lake visitors last week, Mrs. Stone, Mrs. Haas and Mrs. Greene Gre-ene remained in Salt Lake while Mr. Stone visited the Southern Jurisdiction. The Scout Carnival and Dance, held at Ft. Duchesne last week was well attended and all present pres-ent had a very enjoyable time. The proceeds which amounted to more than one hundred dollars was divided equally among the three organizations. Funeral Services for Lloyd Howell, who died in an Ogdcn hospital last week, were held in Vernal at the the Episcopal church, chur-ch, The Rev. Talbot and The Rev. Hailwood officiating, The large crowd in attendance, and the many beautiful floral offerings were evidences of the high esteem in which the deceased deceas-ed was held by his friends and relatives. Richard Odekirk was an overnight over-night guest of Clyde Nevins, Fri-! Fri-! day. Friends of Miss Frances Jue are glad to welcome her home for the holidays, Frances has spent the past few years in San Francisco, where she was employed em-ployed as a designer by the Emporium Em-porium Co. She now resides in New York City, and is here to spend the holidays with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Harold Mclntire and her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Wong C. Wing. The Federal Employees of Whiterocks entertained the fed eral employees of Ft. Duchesne, at a dinner and dance at theBar-racks theBar-racks in Roosevelt Friday evening. even-ing. Henry Wershing of Billings, Montana was a dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs.-O. B. Fry, Sunday. Mr. Wershing is formerly of Ft. Duchesne and is in the U. S. I Forrest Service. Mrs. Wm. Sealon of Duchesne was a visitor at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Wheeler. |
