Show gXSSXSsXSXSXSXSXsX3 MYTON (Mrs. Emery Nielson) William R. Harris of Myton was successful in the campaign for school board member. lie won by a vote of 252 to 161 votes cast for Hale Hoi gate. Three other precincts voted in favor of Mr. Holgate, but their total votes did not amount to as many as Myton cast for Mr. Harris. Myton seemed to be more interested in-terested in there represenative than other districts. The votes were cast as follows: For Mr. Harris: Myton 207, Arcadia 9, Bridgeland 13, Harper 4, Du- chesne 9; for Mr. Holgate: Myton 6, Bridgeland 50, Arcadia 47, Harper 1, Duchesne 67, Total for Mr. Harris 252 and for Mr. Holgate Hol-gate 161. M.r. and Mrs. Bill Peatross arc the proud parents of a baby boy, born December 9 in the L D S Hospital. The mother and baby are doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Fullmer are the proud parents of a baby girl, born December 8 at the Roosevelt hospital, FranK Uresk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Uresk, and Bus Warr, were discharged from the armed forces last week and are now at home. The American Legion and auxiliary met in separate meeting meet-ing The American Legion initiated: initiat-ed: LaVar Peterson, Tony Uresk, Frank Uresk and Arthur Brian as Legion members. The Auxiliary initiated Mrs. Carrie Parker, Mrs. Felix Quintana, Mrs. Marg-rct Marg-rct Mott, Mrs. Emery Nielson and Mrs. Alvin Brummit. After the meetings lunch was served to both groups by Mrs. Denzil Hemphill and Mrs. Oscar Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson Wednesday evening. After dinner they attended the show at Roosevelt. Arthur Brain, son of Mrs. Carrie Parker, received his discharge dis-charge last week. Thomas C. Yaist, of Youngs-1 town, Ohio was a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ponton last week end. Mr. Yaist and Mr. Ponton were buddies while overseas. James Dalgleish, Department Commander of the American Legion Le-gion went to Indianapolis, Indiana Indi-ana Wednesday to attend the conference of department commanders com-manders and department adjutants. adju-tants. Mrs. Emery Nielson visited in Vernal last Thursday. Mrs. Wm. Forsythcr visited Mr. and Mrs. Murel Benson of Roosevelt Thursday. Mrs. Alvin Brummitt went to Salt Lake City to join her husband, hus-band, who has been called back into .the Army. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Monks returned re-turned home Saturday from Salt Lake City. Ted was called back to Ft. Douglas. Mr. and Mrs. Mylan Bywaters left last week for Clearfield where they will reside temporarily. tempor-arily. Jack Giles who has served in the U S Navy, was released and returned home ten days ago. He and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Giles, have been visiting in Hebcr and Ogden. They returned re-turned home Sunday morning. Mrs. Roland Krebs, Sr., of Salt Lake City returned home Tuesday Tues-day after spending a short time here with her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Howell, and Dcnsil Hemphill took Mrs. Peatross to Price where she is being treated at the Price City Hospital. Byrant Gilbert of Arcadia was a week end guest of his cousin, Franklin Peterson. Ray Levitt of Price visited last week with his mother, Mrs. Harvc Portridge and With Wallace Wal-lace Dennis. |
