Show Ballard Ellen- Bracken Mrs. Earl Gardner gave a very clever birthday party Saturday Sat-urday afternoon in the American Legion hall for her daughter, Marjorie, Mrs. Arthur Wiscombe's father James H. Clark, died Feb. 10 al Springville. Mrs. Wiscombc Met Mr. Wiscombe in Salt Lake and they went to Springville to attend at-tend the services. Mr. and Mrs. James Mllligan and family have moved from the Ballard ward to their recently completed home in Roosevelt. Dr. R. V. Larson, of the stake ' Sunday school board, visited I Sunday school this week, Herbert Molyneux, who is employed em-ployed by the Yellow Cab Co. in Salt Lake, spent several days here with his wife and family, Mrs. Lula Mullins, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Mullins Mul-lins and family, Mr. and Mrs. Darrcl Mullins and family, and Max Mullins pleasantly surprised Mrs. Dee Allred Sunday afternoon. after-noon. The occasion was Mrs. Al-Ired's Al-Ired's birthday. Another pleasant occasion was held at Ballard Tuesday evening the annual ward reunion. The Relief Society served a chicken supper and dancing and a program pro-gram was enjoyed during the remainder re-mainder of the evenipg. Taking part in the program were Emil Hadlock, Violet Wilkerson, Le-1 Le-1 Roy Anderson and Larry Larsen. Mr and Mrs. George Bowden, of Vernal, were guests Saturday at the Jack Allred home. Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Kettle and Mr. and Mrs, Marvin Kettle and sons visited the Alton Pickups at Randlett, Sunday. Arthur Wiscombe came from Morgan to spend the weekend with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Johnson and Leland Angus attended the seminary declamation contest at Randlett Sunday. Angus Anderson's uncle. Wil-lard Wil-lard Peacock, of Price, was killed recently when struck by a bale of hay thrown by the air lift. Mrs. Ivo Seeley and Mrs. Ora Coston, cooks at Alterra, and Mrs. Julia Kettle and Mrs. Millie Mil-lie Hatch, cooks at Ballard, accompanied ac-companied Mrs. Lola Christen-sen, Christen-sen, of Vernal, to Avalon on Thursday to attend a monthly meetinc1. Mrs. Evelyn Brighton has been confined to her home with a severe cold. Mrs. Leland Angus returned from Salt Lake Sunday afternoon after-noon with her daughter.
