Prenuptial parties were given by the bride's aunt, Elizabeth Ogilvie and cousins, Pam Meyers and Jill Christensen: friends of the bride, Joanna Wilson and Marci Whitney; and friends in her sorority chapter of Psi Beta Chi, Kris McRae, Tammy Tam-my Degen and Kennie Hansen. TANYA HAS attended the University Uni-versity of Utah majoring in painting paint-ing and drawing and minoring in Chinese. She plans to graduate this June. She filled a Mission to Taiwan Taichung for the LDS Church. She has been a member of Lambda Delta Sigma sorority, Chi Epsilon Nu and Psi Beta Chi chapters. chap-ters. Music has also been a major part of her life. She was a violinist in the Mormon Youth Symphony for three years prior to her mission and is presently a member of the Salt Lake Institute's performing group, "New Sounds." BRIAN PLANS on obtaining his Master's degree in applied math at the University of Utah in June. He received his bachelor's degree in math in 1980 graduating magna cum laude. He filled an LDS Chili Santiago North mission. He speaks Spanish and Portugese fluently. He is a member of the Math Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi. He is also presently a member of the Salt Lake Institute's performing group, "New Sounds." After a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the newlyweds plan to make their home in Salt Lake City. '- MR. AND MRS. BRIAN L. PLATT Tanya Lee Powell and Brian Lloyd Piatt exchanged wedding vows on April 5, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Officiating was Nicholas J. Teerlink. A WEDDING breakfast was given by the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Piatt at the Douglas Ward in Salt Lake City. Later that evening a reception was ; held in their honor at the Colonial I House in Salt Lake City, hosted by : the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James G. Powell, of Bountiful. : : The reception line consisted of maid of honor Linetta E. Powell, sister of the bride, Sheri Piatt, ; Laura Piatt. Tricia Lyn Powell and Jeanetta Piatt. The bridesmaids wore light blue blouses trimmed with lace with darker blue-grey skirts. "THE BEST man was Randy Piatt, brother of the groom. Ushers were York Powell, Shawn Powell and Tracy Piatt. The groom, best man, ushers and fathers wore light silver grey tuxedos. The mothers wore street length dresses in the darker-blue-grey color.
