Show UTE INDIAN TRIBE FISH GAME DEPARTMENT FORT UTAH ANGLING PROCLAMATION the Ute Indian Tribe Fish and Game Board of the Uintah and Ouray Indian having made due and thorough investigation and received recommendations from various conservation officials and other qualified finds that certain rales and regulations are necessary for the conservation and wise use of fishing resources on that part of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation partitioned to the full blood BE IT RESOLVED BY THE UTE FISH AND GAME that by virtue of authority granted by the Uintah and Ouray Tribal Business Committee under Ordinance dated October approved by the Secretary of that it hereby declares and proclaims the following rules and regulations which shall be in full force and effect from January through to December unless otherwise subject to by the Ute Fish and Game The taking of fish shall be opened to year-round angling on the land partitioned to the full blood group of the Ute Indian Tribe during the hours from A to Mountain Standard in the waters hereinafter GENERAL Regulations covering daily bag possession size hours open to set definition of game baits and use of transporting of live fish and shipping fish out of the state shall be identical with the regulations of the Utah State Fish and Game Commission as contained in the State of Utah Angling Proclamation for PERMITS Non-members of the Ute Indian including members of the Affiliated Ute Citizens of the State of 12 years of age and over shall be required to purchase a fishing permit from the Ute Indian Tribe in order to angle in any waters lying within the portion of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation partitioned to the full blood All non-members of the Ute Indian Tribe must have both the Ute Tribal Fishing Permit and the State of Utah Fishing License on his person in order to angle upon that part of the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation apportioned to the full blood WATERS Uintah County Pole Creek From January until the opening of the regular state angling season Duchesne County All spawning areas on all tributaries emptying into the Cedarview Reservoir be closed Including 10 feet into the Reservoir from the mouth of all WATERS OPENED TO YEAR-ROUND Duchesne County Cedarview and Twin Potts Lake Fork Yellowstone Uintah River north portion to the National Forest Grand County Weaver Reservoir and Hill Uintah County Whiterocks Uintah River south portion- Duchesne and Green lying within the portion of full blood lands of the Ute Indian This Proclamation specifically provides that the sale of permits as herein above authorized does not extend to nor includes angling In the area apportioned to the Affiliated Ute Citizens of the State of it is proclaimed that angling from rafts or other floating devices will be on all waters of the Reservation including not limited Twin Potts and Weaver s Signed Chairman BERT Vice-Chairman CERTIFICATION I hereby certify that the above Proclamation was passed by the Ute Indian Tribe Fish and Game Board at a REGULAR meeting on the 2nd day of at which TWO members were present by a vote of TWO for and NONE s Signed ALFRED Clerk Ute Indian Tribe Fish and Game Department Dates of January February March |
