IT'S NOT TH AT I'm against A D. but 1 honestly hon-estly feel I'm not the only one who has questioned ques-tioned what would happen with him out of the lineup. Just about every coach and team thai conies into low n to play the Jazz indicated they know that it's A.I), they have to stop and ih.it he'll lead the Jaz in scoring. Now no one knows w hich one of (he liv e, or ev en those off the bench, will get the hot hand. Last Saturday the Jaz won without then captain in the lineup. 1 know it was Houston they played, but this week they'll find out in a hurry what they can do without him. IT SEEMS A.I), hurt his wrist in Boston a few weeks ago and things seem to be woise than the Jaz officials first thought. A D. Hew to Hartford, Connecticut to get a second opinion opin-ion on his wrist from a specialist. The team doctors here in Utah feel an operation is needed to correct the problem, ligament damage, dam-age, which means A.D. would miss al least ten weeks and probably the rest of the season. Hie Jaz people are hoping this specialist can find something else w hich w ill get him back in the lineup as soon as possible. Word I have t hough is look for the operation. That brings up another interesting topic. With John Drew still in rehabilitation the Ja now only have nine players, with A.I), out of action. The Jaz are in the process ihis week of watching the waiver list. This Wednesday is the deadline for the NBA clubs to pay a player, if a club keeps a player past W ednesday then they are obligated to pay the full year's salaiy to that player no matter w hat happens the tost of the season.
