advantages of public li branes and is scattering it broadcast it is a splendid little work and should be in the hands of every man and woman in this state here are a fewox few of the suggestions and jnell at aid d maintenance of a arce public librn librara in such city or town and sha ll 11 specify a rate of taxation not to exceed one mill on the dollar such recorder or clerk shall in tie the next legal laga 1 notice of a regular biennial election in such city or town give notice that at such clec election tion ever eera elector who shall have paid a property tax therein the year next preceding such election may vote note for a mill tax for a free public library yes no specifying in such notice the rate of taxation mentioned in said petition and if the majority of ill votes cast in ill such city or town shall be for free public li library brar tile the tax specified in such notice shall lie e levied and collected as other general taxes of said city or town toan and shall be known as the library fund provided that when said fifty petitioners petition ers shall ask that a free public gymnasium be established and maintained in connection with said free public library and
