| Show RAILROAD AND HOW BUILT IN IRON COUNTY from the iron county record we clip the following last night the citizens of cedar met in mass meeting to take action on a proposition received from the railroad men who propose to build from lund to iron springs branching from here to harmony on the south and to cedar on the east cast the proposition had bad been sent to the people through the club which was done the proposition asked that the people guarantee a right of way the grading of the road bed and the furnishing of the ties in the meeting it was unanimously agreed that the people would guarantee the right of way through all private lands and would alpo alo see to it that the grade was aas built for half cash and halt half bonds of the rood road with a bonus of stock of the par value of the bonds As to the ties it was considered out the question for the people to furnish them for the reason there is no to be gotten except on the foret forest reserves A permit from the goern government ment would have hae to be secured and it is er doubtful if this could be done it vas also stated that even if it were vere possible to secure them the reserve they would then cost more thin than to have them shipped in from some other locality the people present all seemed anxious mohave the road come and not one knocker nas as present that bunch of would be railroad builders is the limit they are willing to build a railroad if the people will do all the work A right of nay any the grading of the road bed and ties now N what hat do iou know about railroad building in iron county fhe people down there should turn the county over to that railroad company and apologise apologize apol ogise for daring to live and breathe in iron county |
