Show PLANNING TO HANDLE CROWDS railroad arranges Arra 0 to run special train for accommodation of conference visitors there has never before been a time tima when the spring conference of the latter day saints church attracted such attention as does that of theaon the conference which is to begin next week salt lake city is 13 making elaborate preparations for both the accommodation and entertainment of the guests who will be attracted to the metropolis lis by this event and it is confidently expected that the atten at denee will be greater than it his been eer before with this expectation the citizens of the capital have contracted for many special amu amusements cements among which the music festi festival ial will probably desern e c to be ranked as first and foremost the music loving citizens of salt lake have long been planning to make their city the beirith of america and they are confident that the coming festival festi ial will be the first stepping stone to that distinction fred graham the manager of the fest festival ial has labored energetically for many months to secure the services of the artists who are to appear in the four performances at the tabernacle on april 1 and 2 he has enlisted the cooperation of most of the musicians of the city and if the concerts are not a pronounced success they will shatter the hopes of some of well known music lovers the celebrated chicago symphony orchestra composed of 65 artists and conducted by adolph Rosen decker will be one of the chief attractions of the festival it vill nill be supported by artists as franz frani the celebrated cellist of chicago john miller the noted tenor arthur middleton the well known basso geneiieve genev Genci clark wilson soprano and rose lutiger cannon contralto both of new york besides the fore foregoing goinz attractions there will be special bills at all the salt lake playhouses among these may be mentioned the salt lake theatre tre the orpheum Orph cum the grand theatre and the lyric theatre and all of the numerous moving picture theatres theartres the atres of the city ahe I 1 he railroads are expecting an unusually large attendance at conference this spring pring and are making their arrangements range ments accordingly ohp rio grande has made provision for a conference special which will leave richfield at 6 on the mornings of april I 1 and 2 and reach salt lake in time for the pa passengers to attend the matinees mati nees at the tabernacle on those days this will also enable the conference visitors to arrange for hotel accommodations before the hotels hotel are crowded to their limit |
