Show eight wards hold relief society conference relief society conference programs were held sunday in ail wards of the sevier stake in line with a request from the general board of the organization to hold the sessions in the fall when the years work is beginning rather than in the spring as heretofore the programs were centered around the educato educational nal work of the organization introductory remarks by a member of the priesthood called attention to the purpose of the organization as outlined by the prophet joseph smith at the time the relief society was organized short talks on the work of the literary theological work and business and appropriate musical numbers were presented A talk on membership also was included stake board members were assigned to visit the different wards as follows mrs J maiben thomson and mrs wilford L ashby the first ward mrs H A dewey and mrs alvin halquist the second ward mrs albert albertson and mrs T A hunt the third ward mrs lula B carson of venice the fourth ward mrs R C lundquist and mrs G R buchanan the koosharem Koo sharem ward mrs george brugger president and mrs percy quinney visited the venice ward in the afternoon and in the evening mrs brugger and the high councilman assigned as advisory member for the relief society board JB wilson visited the sigurd ward and mrs quinney visited at glenwood Glen all conference programs were well attended |
