Show community church to observe lent special sunday evening services announced by dr hanson in announcing future plans in the richfield community church dr L W hanson said the gentl lenten season into which we are entering and the approaching easter season should serve as a special opportunity for us to contemplate our responsibilities and our obligations as followers of the christ who trod the road of sorrow through clouds of suffering and yet emerged victorious and the conqueror over sin and death this should be a season of special opportunity for self mastery which would bring to all an abundant spiritual life blessing there are some very definite things that the lenten season suggests to all of us toward the preparation of our hearts and with a deep desire to express a higher degree of fidelity of service let us contemplate seriously there is a great need of our utilizing the spiritual and material forces of our community in this day of opportunities for Christ christian iau service there is a privilege which belongs to our church to exercise a wider influence for good in the community it serves there is also a deep need for the minister officers and leaders to have a fuller sui support port of every person and especially those not active in any other church in the community there is an obligation resting upon you and me to go out and invite others to share with us the blessings of christian fellowship low ship there is a challenge to work and pray for a genuine revival of religion in the world there will vill be special sunday evening services every sunday at 7 during lent beginning february 11 at which time dr hanson will preach on christian chastity from genesis chapter 39 everyone in the community 1 is cordially invited to this and all other services great commandments will be the subject of the morning sermon from matthew 22 at 1130 a m next sunday the sunday school will convene sq usual at 1030 with classes and bible stud studa for all 11 pies pes the tonic vill be the perils of rejecting christ mattli matthw w 21 |
