Show district R R director moves to washington dwain J pearson Pc arson who has had offices at richfield for nearly two years as district rural rehabilitation director has been beeh transferred to work on the water facilities program being carried out by the farm security administration and other agencies of the U S department of agriculture the water facilities program set up by an act of congress in 1937 gives power to the department of agriculture to carry out a program to develop water facilities and promote better use of land and water resources for farm families mr air pearsons work will be to coordinate this program with that of other federal and state agencies in the 17 southwest states to which the program is restricted and in which there are six regional F S A offices mr air pearson left richfield on monday and will spend the next month or six weeks reviewing projects in various states after which he vill vall continue to washington D C to submit his report and will then be employed to work out of the national capital as district supervisor C of the water facilities program of the farm security administration tra tion As the program is being operated on a fiscal year basis which ands ends in june or july and is subject to change by congress mr pearsons family will remain in richfield until his plans are more definite the transfer comes as a promotion to mr pearson who has been with the government organization nearly four years A graduate of the U S A C at logan he hd is a son of john pearson of marysvale Marys vale |
