Show former editor 0 of reaper dies mes relatives leave to assist in funeral arrangements for george H crosby george H crosby jr a former editor of the richfield reaper died tuesday in a salt lake hospital following an operation mr crosby a brother in law of mr and mrs al C nelson of richfield lived in richfield a number of years from richfield he moved to apache county arizona to practice law and thence to graham county where he was district ct attorney for several years later he ic turned to apache county counti to fill the position of judge of the superior court a position he held several ysais from arizona he moved to wyoming and had practiced law there up to the time of his demise bom boin february 29 1872 in the now nov defunct town of hebron utah mr crosby was vas a son oi of george H and sarah brown crosby he had been a high priest of the L D S church since 1910 mr air crosby had an unusual memory for dates and happenings of historical interest few could be more exact in recounting incidents in the settlement of utah i and arizona As a result he was consulted very often by various writers of western hi history story especially of utah and arizona he wrote considerably on western settlement several articles being published in the salt lake tribune surviving mr air crosby are his widow mrs airs martha J miller crosby a son kent al crosby of basin wyoming twin daughters mrs airs laprele nunnery of new york city and mrs lucile scott of washington D C and seven grand children survive him besides a sister and three brothers in arizona mr air and airs ina M C nelson and H P miller of venice went to salt lake wednesday morning w where here they expected to meet mrs crosby who left evanston tuesday night to make funeral arrangements mr Cros bys death came unexpectedly he had entered the hospital only a few days ago and his wife had received word his condition was satisfactory only a short time before his death |
