Show richfield man seriously injured 1 in car accident bright lights on a passing car were blamed for an accident in wayne county friday night in which eugene baker of richfield was so seriously injured that it avas was necessary on sunday to amputate his right leg several inches above the knee the accident occurred at about p m when mr baker was on his way to richfield after visiting his ranch near bicknell just west of lyman he swerved off the road to avoid collision with the on coming car the lights blinding him and his car rolled cover four times even though his leg was badly broken one shoulder thrown out of place and his head cut deeply he attempted to crawl to the highway to seek aid somewhat stunned lie he traveled in the wrong direction nearly a city block later he was found by edwin edvin and taken to the home brinkerhoff of bicknell where lie was given first aid mrs brinkerhoff brought him to the sevier valley hospital where on sunday because gas gan greene had set in the leg was amputated to save his life wednesday he was reported to be in fair condition |
