Show 1 conference OF STUDENT BODY OFFICE MiLEn leaders from U of U will discuss problems here november 13 this year for the first time in the history of bryce canyon national park motorists mot orista will be able to drive into the park at any time during the winter according to information just received from superintendent er erin I 1 nt C P P this will be made possible through a cooperative agreement between betwee rL the national park service and the utah state road commission whereby state road equipment will be used in keeping the road open from utah route no 12 into bryce park the snow plows will be run as as enabling visitors to see three of the main viewpoints sunset sunrise and inspiration points although accommodations within the the park will be closed until next spring there will be good accommodations open all winter at rubys rabys inn one mile outside the park i this cooperative agreement will no doubt be of considerable benefit to many motorists traveling through utah in the winter who might otherwise be unable to see the scenic marvels of bryce canyon and it will add one more feature to the already popular winter circle tour through zion canyon grand canyon boulder dam and las vegas those who have seen bryce canyon when mantled with snow have been greatly impressed by its beauty and to many it is more attractive at that time than in the summer an increasing number of motorists is expected to avail themselves of this new opportunity for winter touring |
