| Show 0 0 to speak here i 41 L 1 1 1 MISS MARIE AMIES B P W club to hear national officer speak business women of richfield will have as their guest on friday november 15 miss aliss marie ames of st louis who comes as the special representative of the national federation of business and pio fess ional clubs she will aadne address gs the local B P W club at a meeting to be held at p in friday at the johnston hotel miss ames is well known as a speaker and writer she conducted citizenship schools for the league of women voters and wrote a series of articles for the associated press which have been used in pamphlet form by the league and have formed a basis for other citizenship classes held by mliss miss ames in uie the south and midwest mid west she helped to organize the missouri legislative committee formed by 19 organizations of the state and for three sessions she served as their legislative secretary helping to put through the 50 50 bill which grants an equal number of places to women on political committees of missouri miss ames is much interested in international questions and attended the 1925 session of the league of nations with other journalists she was admitted to the council meetings and while at geneva she attended a course in international ter national politics during 1931 32 she was president of the business and professional club of st louis and she put on a course of parliamentary law at the regional convention ve held in arkansas which attracted a large audic audience nce T tor or the last five years she has been active in the red cross taking part in the disaster and roll call work in the middle west since 1933 she has been interested in social service and she has done much campaign and publicity work in st louis in the interest of many commercial firms |
