Show PAUL H flentz PUNNING T TO clivi ME MON ay vill outline program and assist with planning organization organization of a local planning board is expected to be started monday night at a meeting called for 7 p rn m in the johnston hotel ball room at which paul R arentz chief engineer of the utah state planning board will be in charge county commissioners city officials fici als school officials heads of irrigation and water companies industrial leaders civic leaders and all others interested are invited to attend the meeting primarily the meeting is for the purpose of instructing those attending on the type of projects the government submitted for the new work vork relief program of president roosevelt the federal government advocates the setting up of local planning boards in every county to pass on the various projects before they are sent on to the state officials in other counties where the boards have been set up a member of the county commission has been named chairman of the board with the other members of the board selected from various groups in announcing the meeting mr arentz said that in utah little is known of planning as the word is used by the president it calls for definite plans in relation to all development programs whether industrial du governmental or civic or of scenic and recreational areas the local boards he said will work with the state board and the national resource board of washington |
