society were the recipients of a delightful party in the relief society hall friday afternoon ter noon with president edith simonsen and other officers in charge cb arge A pageant the spirit of the magazine was presented A tribute to the outgoing out going officers was as given by mrs VioIet Violet Forbush songs from the socie tys chorus added to the program refreshments were served by a committee headed by mrs maggie hunt auxiliary will initiate new members initiation ceremonies for seven new members of the american legion auxiliary which was scheduled for november 5 was postponed until monday november 12 on account of pre election activities A membership drive has been carried on the past 30 days the new mew members bring the enrollment to 40 according to president tillie collings monroe ranks fourth in the state in a statewide call for annual dues following the initiation the new members will be guests of the auxiliary at a social in charge of the recreation committee mrs vera smith chairman talents visit high school this week national education week is visiting week at the high school according to announcement by principal C A white parents to visit the class rooms and observe the students in actual class work and to meet and discuss with the instructors any problems of the school an effort will be made to have each teacher visit the homes of the students
