salt lake tuesday from where she will go by train to new york and there borad the S S washington for a trip to england she plans to spend a fortnight in england and then to visit norway denmark sweeden germany and france she expects to be gone about three months mr and mrs roy christensen accompanied by mrs Christen sens parents mr and mrs R H dalley who arrived here thursday frond their home in preston idaho left monday for summitt iron county to attend the dalley dailey family reunion they are expected home today or tomorrow mr and mrs C H mcintyre and son claud jr of oakland cal former richfield residents arrived here the last of the week to visit mr and mrs J vernon erickson and to spend a few days at fish lake mrs airs mcintyre is a sister of mr air erickson other quests guests of the ericksone Erick sons are arc mr air and mrs franklin H erickson and son franklin and miss thressa carroll of los angeles dac coons who spent two weeks at jordan narrows with battery E and later visited his bis father eel ed coons at tooele thoele returned home the last of the week air and mrs elmo storrs and children left wednesday for their home in perry iowa after having spent a few days at the home of mrs storrs father david chidester mrs C A storrs a farmr richfield resident and her sonin son in law and daughter mr air and mrs airs pay fay hansen of salt lake paid a short visit to the Chi desters and other friends here before going to fish lake I 1 dr and mrs frank M gardner of san bernardino mardino Bc california were visitors during the week at the home of mr and mrs C L bean they were en route to their home after having attended a convention in new york and visited the centry of progress exposition in chicago mrs gardner will be remembered by friends here as aa ernestine herbert daugh ter of the late dr geo H and and mrs airs herbert her mother friends will be interested in learning lives with her in san bernardino bernard no and although advanced in years is still enjoying good health mrs charles tucker of soda springs idaho is staying here with her sister mrs floyd bell who is seriously ill sir mr and mrs walter dally of panguitch were visitors in richfield tuesday mr air and mrs H winkel accompanied by their daughter rose miss ruby Von dervon of ogden and miss marie maric christensen made a tour of the northwest last week going as far as portland from where they took the shoreline drive to san francisco they returned home monday night after taking miss Von dervon to salt lake miss aliss rose winkel who recently graduated from the L D S hospital school of nursing will spend her vacation here mrs jos H christensen returned home tuesday morning from lava hot springs idaho where she had been visiting her sister mrs mar klar ogden came from tooele the last of the week for a visit and with her husband is enjoying a vacation at fish lake mr air and mrs bud nilsson and children from provo are spending the week here with mr and mrs G W coons and will also enjoy a trip to fish lake and probably to the southern utah parks miss romaness Rom atess coons returned with them after having visited in salt I 1 lake and provo mr air and mrs W 0 cluff and mr and mrs J W ogden spent sunday in salt lake visiting the modernization exposition dick ogden who is employed in logan spent the day there with his parents R T thurber suffered an acute I 1 attack of appendicitis monday night and was taken to the local hospital for an operation tuesday morning although it was a serious operation he is recovering all right mr and mrs airs max evans announce n e the birth of a son at their home in austin mrs evans was bras formerly miss helen ogden daughter of mr and mrs chas L ogden mrs sheldon nielson of ephraim has been here to make the acquaintance of her little niece and to visit her parents mr and mrs chas L ogden mary lou thurber daughter of mr and mrs R T thurber who is employed in salt lake left saturday with friends for a three weeks visit on the east coast she will spend some time with a brother robert K X thurber in washington D C miss ora gledhill who went to idaho after attending the june conference in salt lake is now enrolled for the summer session at the university of idaho at moscow she has accepted a position as tea teacher cherof of english in the ninth grade at preston idaho ft mr and mrs airs james dennis of california left for their home wednesday ries day morning after having spent a few days with orlando thurber and other relatives here mrs S P black and children and margaret hermansen Hcrman sen of ely nevada and mrs alta black and children and rella relia of salt lake will leave for their homes today after having spent a week with mrs anna baker mother of both ladies miss iris hansen had bad as a guest last week miss ruth borg of montebello te california mrs joseph ogden has been very III at her home since returning from fish lake the last of the week grant nielson of san francisco has been spending his vacation with hi his s parents mr and mrs adolph nielson during his visit he spent a couple of days at the nielsen cabin at fish lake he returned to son san francisco on monday stopping off at salt lake to visit his brother louis who has been in the L D S hospital for about three weeks with a fractured knee but who is now recovering nicely |
