Show OUTING TO BE BIG RENT MT IN C sports program with prizes program and dance slated alls over but the shouting as far as plans for the annual sevier county farmers outing are concerned the outing sponsored by the county farm bureau which this year will be held at the county fair grounds wednesday august 24 is especially interesting from ee the standpoint of sports the business men of richfield have been more than generous in donating a variety of fine merchandise and cash to be offered as prizes in the various events which will include childrens races relay races yards for a team of four men from each community a tug of war the north against the south with richfield center street as the dividing line 20 men to the team a 50 yard dash for boys and girls 6 to 15 years of age a yard dash for boys and girls 16 to 18 years of age and over egg races for women peanut roces for fat men horseshoe pitching contests cow calling chicken calling hog calling dinner calling and children calling contests another b i g sports feature will be the baseball game between the central team and a team from the osiris creamery there are plenty of prizes for all events activities of the day will start with a band concert on main street in richfield by the monroe high school band at a in at 10 a in a 4 11 club program will vall be given from the grandstand at the fair grounds each club of the county will entertain and the main speaker will be rena B maycock from 12 to lunch hour will be observed everyone is expected to bring his own lunch buttree but free ice cold milk and buttermilk will be served by the refreshment committee A program at will consist of stunts furnished by each community tho e tension extension service live at home exhibits and accompanying compa nying discussions by W IV dwenn rena B E May 1 aycoch coc effie S barrows J C hogensen and carl and special entertaining features by sam keifer and joe bush no concessions will be allowed at the fair grounds |
