Show SOLID SOUTH SOT GETS BEHIND m loy FOH FOB state chief deputy well qualified and this section entitled to representation southern utah seems to be rallying almost solidly to the support of jonathan lloyd in his candidacy for the nomination to the office of state auditor on the republican ticket and it appears practically certain that mr lloyds name will be placed upon the ballot at the state convention to be held at salt lake on august 29 two generations have passed since sevier or any of the other counties in southern utah has had an official to fill an elective state office this large area comprising practically one fourth of the state and having its own peculiar problems should have an official in the state capitol and the prevailing sentiment is that lloyd is the man for the job and the job belongs to southern ut as man mam while mile he has lived in salt lake during the past four years he still maintains his home in richfield and is a sevier county taxpayer the community will always claim him as its own at the present time mr lloyd is the chief deputy in the office of ivor ajax the present state auditor inasmuch as mr ajax cannot succeed himself it is felt the experience mr air lloyd has gair gained aed during the past four years gives him splendid qualifications to carry on the work of this office which is now finishing one of the most efficient terms in the history of the state mr air lloyds early life was spent in carbon county later he moved with his parents to salt lake where he received his education he then moved to richfield where he spent 25 years and held many positions of trust he was assistant cashier of the richfield commercial savings bank for 18 years served one term as city councilman was president secretary and treasurer of the richfield C id commercial club and served also as president of the young mens alens republican club of sevier county mr air lloyd has a magnetic personality sona lity is thoroughly trained in accountancy has an irreproachable character and has always been able and willing to carry out any responsibility put upon him whether er of a private or public nature church and civic duties were literally showered upon him during the quarter of a century he be resided at richfield and he never was found shirking in his duties while this community misses his services sadly since he moved to salt lake to assume the responsible position of chief deputy auditor it is felt that he could render a broader responsibility lity to the state as a whole h in that capacity and now that he announces his candidacy for state auditor his friends whom he served so well here will spare no effort to see sec that he is elected to that position for which he is eminently qualified and so justly entitled |
