DIET AND TEETH it is interesting to note that at a recent meeting of the national dental association it was decided to raise a fund of several thousand dollars for advertising in in spite of the fact that dentists and physicians as a rule have considered it unethical to advertise the dentists came to the conclusion cl vion after hearing one of their noted members speak that people still have cavities in their teeth in spite of all the agitation about tooth brushing that has been going for the past number of years they are convinced more than ever that diet has more to do with tooth decay than any other factor the dentists plan to to stress in their advertising I 1 campaign that we need to eat more vegetables especially the leafy kind such as lettuce raw cabbage carrots etc an to eat loss less cereals and meat no other organization will take the lead in this educational program the dentists say and it is highly commendable that they will preach this doctrine for the public welfare
