| Show SOLONS IN BUSY MONTHLY SESSION in T H ESMY special Alec meeting ting will be held tuesday to complete business the county commissioners held a busy session tuesday and will again meet on oil september 8 to continue business of the county P H madsen horace horne home and heber C williams of salina requested the county to aid financially anci ally in the reconstruction construction re of the road leading from the pavement in salina to the forest boun dry the committee stated that H H blood chairman of the state road commission lad had promised to go ahead and construct the road as soon as the trees and electric light poles were moved salina has removed the obstacles it was reported the commissioners commission ers advised the committee to leport to the state that their part of the work was completed and they are now awaiting the construction work to be authorized by the state road commission joseph H jensen and dan larsen received the commendation of the commissioners when they submitted a resolution to the effect that since further investigation and the institution of a program of rigid econ economy orny it is possible to meet the interest payments bonded indebtedness and other expenses of drainage district no 2 for the ensuing year and that the levy made for the year 1931 be recalled re called and set aside and that the sevier county assessor asses soi sol be requested to refrain from assessing S the lands in the district for drainage purposes in 1931 jess washburn was the third signer of the resolution R rickenbach jr albert lloyd nielson J W peterson and isaac S hansen of glenwood appeared as a committee from glenwood reporting that floods are doing considerable damage to the homes and farm lands in that locality and asking the commissioners for aid they were referred to the state flood control board but the commissioners also agreed to investigate the flooded district after their meeting the county auditors semi annu al report of the fees and fines of the justice of the peace was submitted to the commissioners chris hansen A J crosier and goold madsen brought complaints before the commissioners with reference to statements issued to them for spraying weeds on their far farms in mr air hansen stating that he had objected to clinton kjar district weed inspector having the work done mr madsen mad S en stating that mr kjar had promised to spray twice but had sprayed only once and mr air crosier stat ing that the work lad had been authorized by his tenant and therefore should be charged to him no decision was made by the commissioners ners other items of business were of a routine nature |
