| Show sixteen B P W members attend district meeting sixteen in members embers of the richi field B P W club attended tile the first conf conference rence of the sou southern thelm district of the utah federation of business and professional clubs held saturday at nephi sirs mrs ora J lewis of richfield a state board member and conference chai chairman mian efficiently conducted both the business session held in the afternoon at the high school and the banquet held in the evening at the forrest hotel sixty six B P W members attended representing the clubs of I 1 I 1 ephraim gunnison manti milford richfield provo and salt bake lake speakers at the two sessions were miss bliss alice manning miss bliss elizabeth crawford and miss elizabeth fitzgerald of salt lake mrs airs gladys nielson of provo state state president miss madia foote president of the nephi club who gave the address of welcome mrs leona morrison president of the richfield beld club who gave the response miss alta thurber who reported activities of the richfield club and a member from each of the other clubs who reported activities miss louise dastrup of richfield who spent some time in the southern states urged as may club members as possible to attend the national convention to be held at richmond virginia giving an interesting account of the scenic and historic attractions of the state miss bliss ruby thurber of richfield participated in leading community songs and miss bliss thelma jackson of the richfield club acted as secretary A crowning feature of the evenings program was a stunt hour in which all clubs were represented although the richfield richlie id club did not carry home the honors a clever stunt was put over by mrs leona morrison mrs kate werry miss ruby thurber miss bliss alta thurber and miss doi doii 4 cidie the gunnison club von t the he ward award bif fiew ev version of the two old maids of lee ending with an advertisement 0 or the state convention tobe to be held this month in ogden when the winner was announced noun ced the telluride power company of richfield L R fournier manager scored one hundred per cent with the clubs in attendance because the award a beautiful hotpoint Hot point toastmaster was contributed tri buted by that company misses hope hansen and fauntell Faunte II peterson of the telluride office force both B P W members were in attendance at the banquet |
