| Show druggists drugg honor H H petersen H H petersen local druggist was chosen as one of three members of an auditing committee for the mountain states druggists assembled in salt lake city this week for a divisional convention of the international rexall rex all club mr petersen and his wife had been enjoying a vacation in california and stopped in salt lake on their homeward trip to attend the convention urges es further aid in water conservation wm will peterson feterson geologist and director of extension service at the utah state agricultural college was in sevier county this week to make a recheck re check of flowing wells in the county mr air peterson advocates very verv strongly the conservation of artesian water by means of keeping the wells closed not only when they are not in use during the winter but at any time during the summer when the now flow is not ot needed n he spoke of sevier countes coun tys artesian water as one of the countes coun tys most valuable resources and one that could b be e conserved without loss and in fact stated that such checking of the flow of water would be beneficial to the land on which the wells are located located maintaining that such excessive excessive water devel inferior pasture and water logs the land he expressed the belief that much of the expense of pumping the water could be saved if the underground water was not unnecessarily lowered below a height where it would flow from natural pressure before returning to logan ogan mr peterson pet e spent some time t ime in the office of S R boswell county agent discussing summer activities of the extension service |
