Show confenti CONff ON or SUCCESS permanent organization is effected at annual event the richfield study club was represented by eight members at the annual convention of the sanpete sevier district federation of clubs held at fountain green wednesday with the district president mrs L R ivory in charge the club women were welcomed by the mayor the streets were decorated with flags for the occasion and as one visiting club woman expressed it the home of jericho wool became for her the home of the best cooked mutton she ever tasted and even the traditional carrot had a new savor in the splendid luncheon arranged by the hostess club two convention sessions were held in the fountain green the ter and a banquet was as served to women in the amusement hall at noon an outstanding accomplishment of the convention was the effecting of a permanent organization by the election of a board of five directors two for two year terms and three for one year terms representing the various section of the district sirs mrs lois beal of richfield had the honor of being elected a two year director and miss bliss mary mccallum of sa lina a one year director as sevier county board members the following officers were elected from the next hostess city ephraim mrs airs mary jensen pres ident vera erickson first vice president mary christensen second vice president mae no cs corresponding secretary evenda madsen treasurer bly beal chorister mrs C W sorensen of mt bit pleasant was appointed district club historian for a period of five years an interesting feature of the business session was the presentation by mrs lois beal of the new constitution and bylaws by laws prepared by mrs C leo merrill of salina and mrs air lois beal of richfield the richfield clubs contribution to the entertaining features of the day were two readings patterns Pat terms by amy lowell and a humorous selection read by miss nial nelson who excelled in the splendid interpretation of the selections richfield club members attending were mrs airs carrie H payne mrs lucile greenwood airs mra lois beal mrs elithe sumner mrs anna young mrs airs flora flom dick A mrs I 1 rs dorothy buchanan and miss bliss nial nelson C R thorne who was so severely injured in a car accident last week has been taken from the hospital to his home and seems to be progressing as well as the seriousness of the case will permit |
