wednesdays Wednes wednesday dayl of last week they exhibited a splendid display of homemade home made articles mostly childrens and ladies wearing apparel part of which had been donated by members and part made by the organization A hot dinner was sold to adults wednes dey and on thursday light lunches were sold to the school children the affair was well patronized by the people and the officers are delighted over the results the receipts running close to parents teachers program an entertaining program was staged friday night at the mee meeting of the parents and teachers given entirely by the school children under direction of the teachers the program follows chorus sixth grade t invocation leon madsen A puppet show first and second grades conducted by miss foid and miss aliss kimball song daisies third grade pupils dressed to le present daisies sao saxophone solo freddie hunt accompanied at the piano by madge christensen comic dialogue fourth grade vocal duet marjorie and barbara anderson easter convention ven tion fifth grade chorus sixth seventh and eighth grades commercial club meets all members of the commercial club met in the annex of the opera house saturday night the purpose of the meeting was to effect a reorganization A motion was made and carried that the officers who have served for the past year be retained they are james sorensen president 0 vice president with a good representation of stake and ward officers mrs abbie E hardy of salt lake city represented the general board at the ine meeting eting and gave valuable instructions the stake business meeting was held sunday afternoon will contest at provo the misses elizabeth sorensen clara maddox lucile christensen and rex smith left thursday for provo where they will represent the south sevier high school in the typewriting contest to be conducted at the B Y U lionel sorensen seriously III A telegram was received late monday afternoon at the home of lionel sorensen who is in california calling his children to los angeles he is seriously ill mr and mrs sorensen left here march 4 for a short visit with their son ma max who has been attending school in california this winter not long after their arrival there mr sorensen was seized with an attack of appendicitis and was taken to a hospital to td undergo an operation on examination it was found that complications had set in making the operation of a serious nature and grave fears are entertained for mr as the illness necessitated mr air sor eisens remaining in california longer than he had expected max had come home to look after the farm max john donna and keith in company with ike sorensen and oliver larsen of monroe brothers of mr and mrs airs Soi sorensen ensen respectively left at six monday evening for los angeles mrs john carlst christensen risen entertained fourteen guests at a four luncheon tuesday afternoon of last week neek celebrating her birthday anniversary niver sary the table was centered with a potted shamrock A mrs r s christensen received many pretty and useful gifts miss ruth nielson was made guest of honor monday evening at a most pleasant surprise party honoring her birthday anniversary the affair took place at the home of her sister mrs airs armour hill twenty relatives and friends participated the out of town guests were eleanor bell lapreal tuft clark lee and buddy madsen of monroe lively games and a tasty luncheon featured the evening clarice smith and ruth pearletta and deon nielson attended the shower shoner given at monroe monday evening of last week complimentary to
