Show ABOUT FISH BUT NOT A FISH STORY following an invitation by bill sorensen the caretaker of the state fish hatchery at glenwood accompanied by wm johnston and guided by mr jr sorensen ve ne took a look at the fish hatchery and the different ponds for rearing and keeping fish until they are big enough to be planted in the hatche hatchery iv five troughs are filled to capacity with brook fry from spawn taken last Nin winter ter while the other troug troughs lus are being kept in readi nesa to receive rainbow pawn spawn s to be taken now as soon as the road to fish lake is practicable A great deal of fry has been placed in some of the ponds outside the hatchery the surn sum total of it is estimated by the caretaker to be about a nl million illion and a half in the ponds farther off rain rainbow bov fin gerlings are being held in readiness for planting in fish lake and the number of these mr sorensen estimates at these rainbow trout have now grown to a good size and we notice many of them as is big as seven inches so they will be amply able to take care of themselves after planting the condition of the hatch hatchery erv and the ponds shows careful and clean work by mr sorensen the caretaker invites invites all citizens to pay frequent visits to the hatchery so they can see what Is being done there |
