funk who was nas N as drowned in an irrigation ditch near her home bishop G M burr presided at the services and the music was furnished by tho the choir with a vocal solo my little rose bud by james jensen the opening prayer was offered by E M humphry and tho the benediction by E C wright the speakers sly eakers were G lorentzen C W jones and will barton atter after the services the body vas nas taken to mantl manti lor for burial little donna met her death september loth in an irrigation ditch ne near ar her home she had been playing with her little brothers at the neighbors and one or of the boys took her home as is the mother treasured her baby very much and wanted to be near her the boy left the baby playing in the flower garden near the service sen ice station and it is believed donna tried to follow him about ten minutes after the child had been brought home mrs funk went out to attend to her and the search began A large crowd soon gathered and every lot and house in the neighborhood was searched and researched but no baby could be found after a a two hour search and the ditches had been raked the bridges taken up and the water shut oft off and turned on twice the lifeless body was found in a place that had been searched dozens of times before it is believed that when the ater anater was tho the body was wash ed down by the stream but it is still a mystery as to where the thild child tell fell in and where she lay while the searching was going on it is believed she fell into the water head first strangled and was overcome tor for she showed no sign ot of struggling or suffering little donna was the pride and pet of the family as she was the second daughter and sixteen years between the two girls the entire community shared in the sorrow with the broken hearted parents over the death of their little daughter sorrowing are her parents her sister angeline and the following brothers gerald clarence walter ray leland foster and cliff 0 ii li LOCAL home friday to attend high school P C and family accompanied by the misses ruby brown and erma peterson spent thursday in monroe and richfield mrs hattie peterson and children reese and lyna have returned from salt lake where they have spent the summer john stewart of loa and evan christensen of aurora former graduates of north sevier high school left tor for provo saturday to enter the
