| Show SUMMER SCHOOL OF OF IT second teim will start thursday Thur day july 19 over a thousand students from all parts of utah and surrounding states are diligently applying themselves to their studies at the university ity of utah summer school during the past school year the university raised its scholarship standards even higher and the diligence ol of the summer school students is even greater than that of two greater than that of the students of the regular school year the class work is progressing in a very satisfactory manner according to dean milto lilton n bennion bannion who Is in charge of the summer work the first term will end july 18 and the second term will start on july 19 some of the classes will continue con timie through both terms but there will be several new classes tor for persons who desire to take up at the beginning of the second term in addition to the regular work there have been a number of lectures given by prominent national educators there is an active student body organization which in cooperation with the department of physical education has an excellent recreation program worked out already one hike has been taken and others are planned it is the desire of the committee to furnish the hardworking students a little diversion from the collegiate grind and young and old all enter into the activities tivi ties with excellent spirit many of the students are teachers from all parts of the state who are taking additional work but an un large number of students from the regular quarters are taking summer work thus shortening the time necessary to complete their courses |
