deviers Se viers turkey thus mr and C A mattson of richfield killed their fattened turkey in honor of the evans family miss stena claims that none other fowl can compare with those raised in this northern region so she stayed home and partook of the juicy turkey baked in her own oven mr G L hanson and family most heartily agreed with miss and the baby sampled north deviers Se viers turkey for the first time mr ernest hanson ha hied himself to salt lake not only to partake oi of the bird of the metropolis but to meet a certain lady there someone who knew told us about the lady in the case and were not supposed to tell the author is a lady so mr and 11 mrs irs P A paulson gave thanks for their fatted batted tom turkey at salina miss van johnstone declared none such tables were set mother tor for he and mrs meyers enjoyed immensely the turkey mrs G A brandt roasted it is quite certain that the honorable faculty enjoyed the roasted fowls and plum puddings and it if it digested agreeably the students will look anto the faces of a rejuvenated faculty monday december the fourth brings to north sevier the third lyceum number mr gilmore stott a lecturer and writer of national repute will entertain the lyceum fans at the new amusement hall mr stott they say is so vitally alive that he seems to be teeming with electrical sparks A man with such an interesting personality sona thanksgiving again harmonies held sway when the girls glee club sang tho the sweetest story ever told lue shepherd gave a new tune to that ia pom poem when the frost is ort on the pumpkin by the end of twenty minutes the time it took to present the family doctor smiles gave way to broad grins grins to chuckles and chuckles to a jubilant fit of laughter ronalds inflammation of tile the perl peri adjourned with unusual lightheartedness light heartedness to pluck the feathers from tom turkey monday morning about eight thi thir ir ty some of the students drifted to miss Sc room as usual but this morning the unusual thing about it was that no one entered because the lock in the door held fast these students passed it as rather unusual but decided that miss was not so early this morning but that she would soon be there nine and still the door was not open it was the sophomores english class at this period and when they made the discovery that tile the english room was locked they went to mr evans office with sort of a bewildered look in answer to their question he sent them to the study room with no further explanation in devotional at principal evans explained that there would be no english classes in room number 20 because was ill for a moment students turned and looked at each other with scarcely cely a word then followed a buzzing like a swarm ot of bees miss not there why it na was almost unbelievable all that day and tuesday the students felt that there was something amiss in the daily routine that could not be tilled filled wednesday morning found miss at school again in spite of the fact that she was not fully recovered wednesday must have been a trying lay day for our english tc teacher acher but slip met it t cheerfully the students hope that miss Sc illness was all driven away by that thanksgiving turkey and that monday monda y will find her in the school room with nith her usual smile I 1 two lays days vacation made four non school days for the students and faculty of north sevier the general saying is that the more one gets the more one wants heaven forbid that this rule hold truo true in hespect to the vacation days or north sevier would soon come to a disastrous end students and teachers usually plan how v much they will do during weekends and vacations but usually monday finds everyone worn out and with nothing accomplished it is to be hoped that also be parents visiting day at the school at 1115 a general assembly will be held in which an excellent speaker will address parents and students on the subject illiteracy local evils will be
