to 0 in our favor lonroe has a very fine team but it proved to be too small tor for its opponents in nearly every instance the richfield boys were safe and their goal was never in danger some state has W within thin its students and officials a certain amount of pride and enthusiasm toward the spirit of the school it is is as a general rule the custom of the students to try and put forth a student body spirit that exceeds that tha t of 0 its rival schools the richfield high school has keen competition this year in every school respect the surrounding high schools are out for winning the highest honors just as much as we are and so we the pupils and students of our school must get together pull together and then put ourselves among the leading ones with a spirit that will bring the highest honors honors that cannot be excelled by any others it is only a matte having a determination of winning the first places and nd then fulfilling that determination mi our high school in some past years has had student bodies that have brought home the best honors simply because the spirit was one of organization and pep A school without an organized and substantial school spirit is like an army without ammunition it cannot gain results A school with a spirit that has pep and organization can obtain as big results according to its sphere as an army bombarding detachment tach ment in order to provide our chool with such a that will obtain the best results every student must back our spirit with pep and determination 4 0 4 R H S enters football league the R H S has haa entered the football league of this section they are very enthusiastic about st it the players have all pledged themselves to do the very best they can of course they cannot play the game without the assistance of the school however so every member of this student body is going to give all tha the have to support the team with enthusiasm and to make it a bigger success we should also like to have the assistance of all the citizens of this community tho the tight school A school in the past has been judged almost entirely as to its worth by its size in attendance if a school had an enrollment of a thousand students it became automatically the best school in the minds of the people while if a smaller and perhaps ever a superior school so far as instruction st is concerned lay closer at hand it could not be considered cons dered because of the smaller enrollment should schools be judged in this manner or ought we to study the merits of the institution that we are planning to attend in order tor for any school to be an entire access there should be that operation cooperation co between the teachers even a superior school so bo far as into work in unison besides this element of operation cooperation co there should exist a common interest among the student body that would promote life and enthusiasm and add vigor to the work in many cases these qualities are found in a small school to just as great an extent as in a large one and the students which enables them greater expense e to obtain an education elsewhere when we can get what we want closer at hand and with less cost class meetings each class of the school should therefore why should we go to a hold a class meeting geeting whenever cuss the problems which cannot be acted upon without the consent of the class as a whole these meetings serve to hold the members of the the officers find it necessary to flis clis class together because the students realize that they belong to something where if all things were left in the hands of the class officers they would soon lose interest and in con sequence would not be united in the average class meeting at the present time there is very little accomplished because the students do not take tahe any interest in what is going on consequently if there are a few who want to listen they are unable to do so because of the noise created by the ones who do not care for the welfare of the class in the schools where there is a great deal of success it is found to be due to the activities of the classes the only way to make a class active is to have a 1 number of class meetings each year so lets wake up and have more class meetings in our school ELLIS christenson 1 14 football spirit it Is the kind 0 of pep that was exhibited thursday at the football rally that puts our school on the map that makes the most loyal individual the most successful class and the most victorious aus school chool fc it is this spirit and snap that proves our school is full of pep and that the students aro are behind their activities last year when football was introduced there were many obstacles in the way tor for its success but the cooperation of the students and their determination to put football over won and today it is one of the leading school activities CRYSTAL BEAN r 4 frodi roh win avin thursday last the fre shies and indulged tn in a flag rush the
