| Show PREPARING FOR OR TH THE NEW SCHOOL board of education makes arrangements for repairing of school houses the board 0 of education held a special meeting saturday last to mako make arrangements for the repair work dvork on the school houses to have them in good shape when the new term commences contracts were let and other things put in ill proper condition architect R C watkins 0 of salt lake city who has charge of 0 the new school building build hig at annabella was here this week to supervise putting on tho the finishing touches to this house which will be a credit to annabella the school board and the architect it is a four room building with all modern improvements heating healing plant ventilation sanitary toilets and so on oil red pressed brick was used to construct tile tho building the rooms have lave maple floors throughout the hall is cemented the finishing is a soft light gray the windows aie of special construction with binges at the bottom and a ventilating device that lots fresh air in without causing any drafts the closets for the childrens clothes are placed between the walls of the rooms in such a way that the entrance into tho the closets are at the same timo time the black boards be ards A sliding device lots the black boards up and down the clothes are out of sight when the blackboard slides down and a ventilating apparatus inside of the closets ventilates the clothes thoroughly while they are arc in ill the closet the members of the school board made an inspection trip to annabella to look over tho the building and they are arc very well pleased with it it will bo be the f inest finest four room school house in tho the district |
